Finally, a few sites to help me get organized.  This has definitely been my biggest challenge.  I have stuff everywhere, from my hard drive to my "inbox."  This is going to be great!

http://livebinders.com - thanks Brianna for the great tool to organize all my favorite tools into neat, tabulated order.  This is just what I've been looking for.  Along with http://dil.icio.us.com, these may be just the time saving tools I've been looking for.  Has anyone tried "Hootsuite" to organize social media sites?

I was struggling with the organization of the class and knowing that Frank had a purpose in mind, that of making us aware of a wide variety of different ways to bring life to our online classes, I turned over and over in my mind how to keep track of all the links and material that was coming at me.  I would like to pose yet ANOTHER solution to the many links we have...this has worked for me in the past and somehow I forgot about it as I was working through the lessons (and great links) I was being exposed to.  Have you heard of http://my.portaportal.com/ Like many bookmark sites, this one allows you to categorize your links, therefore creating the organization my concrete-sequential brain was needing!  I got hooked on this site during an online course last year and forgot about it until now...this course has reminded me what a good book marking site can be used for and why.

I haven't checked out livebinders.com (and am afraid to do it for fear it is BETTER than what I have right now...and not wanting to reorganize!), but I will.  Thanks for idea Brianna!

So true Lori! I've been struggling with this same issue.  I feel I have to visit a gajillion different sites for this class.  I've been a bit overwhelmed with the sheer volume of URLs that have been thrown at me. Thanks for sharing the bookmarking site - I'll give it a try.  I'll also check out livebinders.com (thanks Brianna!)  I've found I just need to remember to take a deep breath, keep the main objective in mind, and try not to get overwhelmed.

I can't wait to work more with livebinders.  I checked it out over the weekend and it looks like a great way to keep organized.  I have so many great sites that I come across all the time but it gets frustrating trying to remember where I saw that information.  I welcome getting my information in one area in order to share it with teachers and parents and other counselors.

I just added the livebinders - thank you!  I am actually going to rely on it to keep everything straight for this class - for some reason I am having trouble with simply bookmarking everything.

Thanks for these organizational sites.  I am looking forward to trying them out!

Thanks for the livebinders.com tip!  Looks like a great way to keep organized.  I too have trouble keeping all my web tools and resources organized in a way that makes sense and is easily accessible.

livebinders.com caught my eye for personal use of my teaching portfolio.  I don't plan on staying in Alaska forever, so eventually I will need to go through the interview process again.  I'd like to return to the lower 48, so I'm assuming the interview process would be completed long distance.  It would be so easy just to send the link to my online portfolio prior to an interview.  In a click of a button I would demonstrate my commitment to technology and all the great things I do in my classroom.  I could upload recorded lessons, photos, and of course my resume.

I'm going to share this with my high school's employability skills teacher.  Maybe some of the seniors she teachers would be interested on creating a online portfolio.  Also, I'm toying with the idea of having IEP students create a portfolio.  This could easily be a part of any transition plan as well as a way for students to track/monitor their own goal progress.

Heard of Symbaloo? I just got wind of it last year, and it's amazing for organizing your bookmarks visually. You can also create separate pages with different categories. I recently met a teacher who is using it with her students to organize units. I wanted to share this organizational tool: www.symbaloo.com
