Again, because I am focusing on primary, here is a lighthearted video that gives some examples and information on how to use social media with younger kids.  This is somewhat parent focused but I think is beneficial for us teachers as well.  Some of us wonder when is the right time for students to become involved with social media.  In today's world, technology is the one of the most rapidly growing job fields.  If we want our children to be successful, we may want to encourage them to become tech savy and starting them early can be beneficial.  But like with all things, there needs to be limits and boundaries.  I laughed when this video used words like "gateway sites" and then "hard core sites."  Let me know what you think!

Shannon - I loved this video!  Very funny, but very serious about kids and internet safety.  I totally agree with their philosophy that we need to introduce our kids to social media in a supervised setting at a very young age in order to teach them netiquette.  I have seen it over and over again where parents try to shelter their kids, probably due to thier insecuritites regarding technology, and the kids go crazy when they are pre-teens - not only with the internet, but cell phones!
