A Few Minutes In The Life Of A Sign Language Interpreter, The Classroom

This is extremely funny to those of us who have lived this conversation before, but I think others might "get it," too. This online program is a fun and relatively easy way to make your own animated movie. Go to xtranormal.com and play around!

Oh my gosh!  Excellent video...had me laughing.  While watching this, I had to go to the xtranormal website to see how to create these animated videos.  There are so many times that I am wanting an animated video to teach my kindergarteners certain topics and just can't find one that I love.  They are either poorly made or way outdated.  My students would absolutely love this format and I am going to try it out and let you know how it goes!  Humor is also huge with my students.  Anytime there is a humorous nature, they retain it longer, so maybe I will include this as well.

OMG, very good.  As a recovering speech therapist who also has a deaf niece and a sister who used to be  an interpreter for the Anchorage School District, I can completely relate to the conversation.  This summer I will be moving back to an elementary classroom down in New Mexico.  Looks like this could be a very usable tool.  Should be fun learning how to create an animation myself.
