Hello - just posting to practice here...so a little bit about myself.

I work at the Alaska Humanities Forum, where we connect Alaskans through stories, ideas and experiences to positively change lives and empower communities. Based in Anchorage, we strive to connect with all of the regions of our vast state. Social media is one way in which we can connect with each other.

My online online learning experiences include professional development courses as a learner. Our Forum educator courses include a blended learning option using Moodle, with some face-to-face time between educator and course instructor. My role is administrative, developing requests for proposals, managing contracts, and support.

I use an older model iPhone. I use Facebook for business and Mail Chimp in my volunteer work leading a non-profit literary journal, Alaska Women Speak.

I will consider myself successful in terms of this course if I (1) become more proficient using social media; (2) apply new skills towards strengthening Alaska's educator and youth communities, and (3) have fun.

I look forward to connecting with you.
